French Healthcare Associationthe network of more than 270 French health actors mobilized to offer collective solutions adapted to the needs of foreign partners, is organizing the French Healthcare Innovation & Business Forum (FHIBF) in Paris on September 19 and 20, 2022.

Through a rich program pre-organized B2B meeting sessions with foreign decision makers, conferences thematic, practical workshops and moments of networkingthis international B2B event aims to accelerate the development of French healthcare players in markets often perceived as complexes to address.

After two years of a pandemic that has impacted trade relations worldwide, major events are being held again; a great opportunity to boost a foreign trade sector that has suffered severely from health restrictions.

In France: the foreign trade deficit for 2021 is 84.7 billion euros, which is a worsening after the 2020 figures. However, this figure hides a number of realities, including a "very large" deficit. record surplus in services36.2 billion.

The health crisis that has severely affected every country in the world has also acted as a true global indicator of the need to structure and strengthen the capacities of the healthcare system, quality facilities and equipment, and well-trained personnel. These are all opportunities for France to promote its long-recognized medical, scientific and industrial expertise.

France is a major player in the global healthcare sector and has considerable assets:

  • A French pharmaceutical industry among the most efficient in the world;

  • A dynamic and innovative ecosystem of startups, SMEs and large groups.
  • Care facilities at the forefront of the latest medical techniques and innovations in patient care.

The French healthtech has approximately 2000 companies (biotech, medtech, etc.), with a third of partnerships conducted internationallyA growing number of companies have operations in the Middle East, North Africa, Africa and Central Asia. One company in five has at least one subsidiary abroad, and half of all companies over 10 years old. A valuable network to support the dynamics of companies in export.

It is in this impetus to conquer the foreign market in the health sector that French Healthcare Association will organize on September 19 and 20 in Paris alongside the Economic Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Treasury Department, the French Foreign Trade Advisors, Business France, the CCI International, MEDICEN, SNITEM, MEDEF International, France Biotech, Lyon Biopôle, CIUS, FEFIS, and the pharmaceutical companies (Leem), the French Healthcare Innovation & Business Forum (FHIBF)).
